Introduction
The Neo98 was created precisely in response to the overwhelming demand from our community over time. While larger layouts have traditionally seen limited interest in the custom keyboard scene, now, we have made this long-held aspiration a reality.
To ensure consistent keyboard acoustics, Neo have meticulously refined the internal structure, optimising numerous details so that each keyboard delivers the best possible sound feedback.
Appearance Design
The design is minimalist, yet every detail is meticulously engineered. The badge is crafted from mirror-polished stainless steel, with every surface meticulously ground. Like a platinum ring, it sits nested into the keyboard with quiet precision.
The side profile of the keyboard marries aesthetics with precision craftsmanship, featuring a stacked construction that creates a pronounced sense of depth and clean-beveled edges that define its sharp, structured silhouette.
Neo has precisely set the keyboard’s front height to 17.6mm — a carefully calibrated golden standard that maintains a visually slim, elegant appearance while providing ergonomic support for comfortable long‑term typing.
Featuring a generously sized stainless steel weight, available in both mirror PVD and spray-coated finish options.

Poron Gasket Mount
For Neo98, they've adopted the highly praised Poron Gasket structure from Neo80 cu.
A drawback of traditional poron structures is that they rely on adhesive backing to secure the poron. Once the poron ages, it becomes difficult to replace and often leaves adhesive residue. To solve this, Neo has designed a grooved structure that securely holds the Poron in place without any adhesive, making replacement much easier.

Forcebreak
Neo have added a forcebreak layer at the contact points between the top and bottom cases, creating a soft barrier between the metal surfaces to dampen vibration noise.
Bottom Case Acoustic Chamber
To suppress the hollow-cavity resonance in the bottom case, they've adopted a chamber-segmented design. This reduces vibration frequency and enhances overall acoustic performance.
Foam Kit
The Neo series, which emphasises a foamless build, doesn’t overlook the diverse building needs of users — yet still includes plate foam, IXPE sheet, and case foam for flexible tuning.
